(2002?) Ampeg J-12T - 15 watt tube guitar combo with reverb and
tremolo. Two EL-84s in power section, Two 7025s in preamp.
12" Ampeg branded speaker. Two inputs (guitar and accordion
[?]). Volume, Tone, Tremolo speed and intensity, and Reverb
controls. Retro styling includes-- awesome blue check tolex and
chrome 'Ampeg' logo. Immaculate condition, never gigged,
protective film on faceplate,
hangtag, low hours on original tubes (Sovtek). Please excuse
shadows and highlights in pics. I cannot find a cosmetic flaw on
this amp.
Not much clean headroon on this guy, but very nice
blues, classic rawk and country tones. Snappy midrange honk and
growl. Good lowend for a small open back combo. Nice
lightweight amp for small gigs and practice. If you check out the
Harmony Central reviews, you'll read a few complaints about the hum
this amp creates at all volumes. Problem might be in the
tremolo section of the circuit (educated guess). Might not be the
best recording amp because of this, but shouldn't matter much for
gigging. Selling for a friend.
